Merry Christmas!

From me and Shilou.

I hope that you all had a wonderful day, however you chose to spend it.

Shilou was very static over all the colorful Christmas gifts and even found some with her name on it. More about the content next time, I promise! ^.^

A Christmas Wish?

At first I thought that Shilou wanted to show off the 3 dresses I made for her...

...but then she seemed to have another goal in mind:

What can she possible want? I don't have a clue. Do you?

But pretty drawings! It seems that I have a little artist do deal with. Maybe I need to find her more colours and pencils to play with. Could that be it?

Psst. There's more than 3 dresses...about a trillion of them, but yet all unfinished.

Crocheted Barbiedoll bikini

I made a bikini for a Barbiedoll last week (both sold now). It's my second crocheted bikini and it was surprisingly easy to remember how I made the first, a year ago. Fun! And I love the little beads of wood, they are great. I want to use them for everything (but haven't...yet).

More:

Oh oh oh. And the first snow came last night. Not much, but enough for it to stay the day. And no, I still don't like the winter (I haven't even thought about Christmas decorations at all...well, I HAVE thought about them. It's hard not to; they are everywhere and I'm not blind. But putting something up myself? NOPE). But snow is WAY MORE better than rain when it's freezing cold outside. My dog agrees without any hesitation. Yep.

Project branchbed #1 - Part 5

Sneak-peak of the fabrics for the bedding:

I was voting for blue and Shilou for pink, but this is what I have at the moment. I think it will be alright, even if it's not my colours at all. After all, there IS some pink in it...so the little one can't complain (not that she does, sweet thing). And I can always make another set (or two) in the future.

Project branchbed #1 - Part 4

Where did the branchbed go? Nowhere. It is still waiting for me to finish the bedding. But it have gotten a mattress and two pillows, so it haven't been totally forgotten. Poor thing.

Shilou's room?

This is Shilou's bedroom (not completely finished yet). But sadly she doesn't seem to feel like home. It's too "grown up" she tells me and are more interested in the playroom I'm making for her. It has a lot of colourful furniture that don't match each other, so I'm going to paint some of them white (does anyone know what kind of paint you need for surfaces that are made of plastic?) before she can play in there.

I also tried another wig on Shilou today, isn't she cute? She look more grown up this way (maybe too much). I really like her in white, but it's probably not for her...it could be for someone else. So now I'm looking for a better white wig for the future and a blond one with bangs for Shilou, similair to the one I have, but longer and less uneven.

The lovely dress she's wearing is from Hiblythe.

Kisses from Shilou!

Just here to say that we haven't forgot about the blog.

I'm making dresses and hats for her, while trying to survive this autumn. I wish I was some kind of furry creature that could go in hiding and sleep all this away. Wake me up for spring, yes? Hibernation for the win.

Handmade dress for the little one

I made my first dress for Shilou. It was crazy fun to do. I've started on several others now...

It has a tiny mushroom button (offwhite) in the back and a matching hairpiece.

I actually like the dress, which is very rare. I never like my own stuff. But this dress...it's far from perfect, but I'm fond of it. And Shilou approved it too (Mr Teddy pretty much thought that the whole dress-thingy was overrated).

Shilou's first dress

New dress for Shilou! Number one of two (and one more on it's way) from HiBlythe (etsy). Finally the little girl has a girly pink dress (the other one is blue), and here it is together with an unfinished hat:
I can't decide if the white fluff on top of the hat is staying, or not. Decisions, decisions. They can be tricky. At least my model have a lot of patience while I ponder. But she sure doesn't waste any time either; while I was looking away for a second, Shilou gave me a quiet hint about what she REALLY wanted to do...and who can say no to that face?

And yes, it IS a little tiny cute strawberry in her hand. Kawaii! ^.^

Frog + Hat = Yay!

Autumn is a very bittersweet time for me, so I'm a bit low-spirited and quiet over here. But Shilou wanted to fit in with her new friends, so I couldn't resist making a cozy hat for her.

And a close-up, just because she is so darn cute:
And yada yada yada. I'm too tired to come up with something more to write, so...want to see more of the frogcollection? Look over HERE (my swedish craftblog).

Green Eyeball

Yeah. We are making green eyeballs over here and Shilou wanted to show someone.

That's all.

Rainy days in a big world

After being trapped in a little dark box for some time, Shilou discovered that the world was a much bigger place than she ever had imagined. And rainy...very rainy. But she didn't mind. It was pretty.
- Why is the world so sad, mama?
- Sad?............................................
- The sky is crying.........................
- Oh, sweetie, that's not tears, it's..
- It needs a hug..............................

Welcome home little one!

She came naked, bald and a little shy. All she wanted was a place to belong to, a warm embrace and someone who listened while she whispered her name.

Let me introduce you to:
Shilou

What can I say, I adore her. And the clothes are perfect in size, socks a little big...but big enough to make the pink shoes stay on without a problem. She can even stand up on her own in them. Oh, happy me.

My very first BJD #6 - Arrival

Iiiiiii! My Pukifée is home! Here's the package-opening from yesterday:

- Mama!

She is sooo adorable, wellmade and in the most perfect size. I'm very happy with her. Just need to change the eyes. They are greyish with a lilac tone and it's not that it look bad, but it's not what I had in mind. Blue-ish or turquoise something is the plan. And one of the eyelashes is a little loose in one corner, so I'll have to fix that too. Just have to research which glue is okay to use.

...and I still wish that I had bought the sleeping faceplate :/

Project branchbed #1 - Part 3

I have more ideas, but I'll have to hunt down some more branches first before I can begin with the next bed. And that might take a while. Because I have a slightly phobia of walking out though the door...but let's just pretend I'm lazy.
And here is the result:
Ignore the strange and funky shadows.
I blame the flash...and the bad weather.

Now there's only a mattress, cover and 1-2 pillows left to do (in fact I have already made a mattress, but we'll save that for next time because there's some tiny tings to fix with the corners). And then some bedding; sheet, pillow cases and so on.

Tiny shoes from Etsy and Ruby Red

Five pair of shoes from Ruby Red and two pair from dollb. But, I am really confused about the size....how can they possible fit the same doll? The shoes from Ruby Red is so much bigger (but still tiny cute) than the ones from dollb. Have I bought the wrong size from RR or will they fit fine with socks? Fortunately for me I have 3 pair of oh-so-big-socks, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will work.

My worrying about the size is obviously a permanent problem right now. Maybe I should just stop buying stuff for my Pukifée and wait until she's here? >.<

No sleeping faceplate

And after looking through all eight threads with Pukifée on DOA, I regret like crazy that I didn't buy the sleeping faceplate with my Ante. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!

...it's cute as hell and I want it :/

Project branchbed #1 - Part 2

Yes. So despite that my Pukifée Ante isn't here yet, I thought that I would make her a bed. This is my first attempt to do a branchbed. Nothing fancy, just a basic bed. Here is some "in progress" pictures:
Note to self:
Don't play with a hammer and nails without a good surface to work on.
Tiny holes in the floor is NOT good.
